Pens Player Power Rankings - Week 2

A stick tap to The Hockey Writers for giving me this idea:  A weekly gauge of who has been the best over the past week for the Penguins.  If you hate the rankings and just want trends, PensBurgh has you covered for that.

3	Marc-Andre Fleury (5)	Defense has hung him out to dry occasionally, but hasn't let up a soft goal yet (2-1, 2.28 GAA, .916 Save %)
4	Sidney Crosby (2)	Got off to a slow start but is displaying better speed and creativity (3g, 2a)
5	James Neal (3)	Continues to get the puck on net but hasn't looked comfortably on the PP yet (4g, 24 shots)
6	Kris Letang (4)	Has been responsible defensively, though a little careless with the puck (1g, 3a, 7 blocked shots, 7 missed shots, 7 giveaways)
7	Evgeni Malkin (1)	Has shown flashes of brilliance but has also had some turnover issues (1g, 5a, 16 PIM, 8 takeaways, 40.4% faceoffs)
8	Matt Niskanen (9)	Playing solid defense next to Letang and playing smart with the puck too (1g, 2a)
9	Tyler Kennedy (13)	Getting shots on net but not able to convert much yet (1g)
10	Tomas Vokoun (12)	See Fleury. (1-1, 3.03 GAA, .908 Save %)
11	Deryk Engelland (17)	Playing well for a 3rd pair defenseman but positioning needs to improve.
12	Pascal Dupuis (7)	Off to a slow start, but improving defensively at least (1g, 1a)
13	Tanner Glass (15)	Played very well on the penalty kill and in support roles (15 hits)
14	Brandon Sutter (8)	Had a strong opening weekend but has looked uncomfortable since then (1a)
15	Matt Cooke (11)	Strong penalty kill effort, but hasn't found his game 5 on 5.
16	Joe Vitale (18)	Added valuable speed to increase the effectiveness of the 4th line (1a)
17	Craig Adams (16)	Strong penalty kill and forecheck though he has not added much tangible (15 hits)
18	Chris Kunitz (6)	Strong forechecking, but having major puck control issues (1g, 2a, 18 hits)
19	Eric Tangradi (21)	Looked awful on the 2nd line but seems to be adapting to the 4th line well
20	Ben Lovejoy (23)	Serviceable 6th defenseman over his 2 games though he has gotten caught too far up at times
21	Simon Despres (19)	Was inconsistent through 3 games and hasn't played since (1a)
22	Dustin Jeffrey (20)	Played poorly in the first game and has been benched since.
23	Robert Bortuzzo (22)	Has not played yet.
